New workshops 2014

I am introducing four new workshops in 2014.

NEW  ‘Back to Basics’ 

If you are completely new to sewing and would like to learn how to use a sewing machine for the first time this 3 hour session will give you the confidence to start some simple projects. Also suitable for anyone who has just purchased a new machine and needs help familiarising themselves with it. This will include a mini project to take home with you. Cost £30 including materials and refreshment.

NEW Bunting workshop

Learn how to make buntings. From plain and simple to more creative. A three hour session for beginners to more advanced. Make for a special occasion or as a gift for Easter, Christmas, etc.  This 3 hour workshop will run on either Friday or Saturday mornings. Cost £28 – includes all materials (unless you prefer to bring your own) and refreshments.

NEW Floral Corsage

A frugal workshop to use scraps of fabric. Learn how to  make hand sewn floral brooch, or a corsage to attach to another project such as a bag or cushion. ( I also run these as a crochet workshop). Thurs eve, Friday am & pm or Saturday mornings. Cost £22.50 including materials, instruction leaflet and refreshments.

NEW Sewing Bee Workshops

I will be running a range of dressmaking workshops during the Spring & Summer. Workshops will be for the following garments:

Sleeveless summer top (first to take place Sat 7 June)

Learn how to:

Read a pattern; adjust to your measurements; lay & cut out your top; attach facing; make darts; attach button & loop.

SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY OFFER £48 to include tuition, pattern, refreshments.

Skirt making (date TBC)

Summer dress (date TBC)
